Cashews aren't the cheapest of buts in general, for making my own I've found the Assani brand in supermarkets normally in World Foods is the cheapest unless you have a health food store and can buy in real bulk.

Worth mentioning if you're looking at buying or making your own - fresh soft cheeses are unmatured soft cheeses which are very quick to make and eat but spoil quickly, the dairy equivalents are philly or cottage cheese.

Honestly I wasn't expecting much but I figured if it was awful I could toss it into a sauce. Their Asche cheese - tastes so much like dairy soft cheese I was genuinely a little disgusted.

Apparently my tastebuds have changed quite a bit I don't think I could eat it on its own purely because it tastes so much like dairy cheese, it's very rich.

It does get black everywhere from the outer coating so be careful if you're putting it on a fancy cheeseboard.

Greek Herbs - another soft cheese coated in a herb crust. Smooth, lovely and herby whilst still tasting of cheese underneath. Exactly the kind of dairy cheese I used to love, spread thickly on crackers or good bread and it holds its own.

The whole cake was gone in a day. I have no self control. Wild Garlic - a semi-soft cheese. Similar texture to Boursin for the ex-omnis, it holds itself together when cut but can be made to crumble or squishes technical term nicely.

Creamy, definitely very garlicy but again you can taste the cheese underneath - these guys have their flavour balance down to a T.

I ate most of this on rosemary crackers Aldi with seitan pastrami on top. My pastrami is a strong flavour with lots of pepper and the cheese held up brilliantly against it, while being equally delicious nibbled on its own.

Fenugreek - previously my only experience with fenugreek is feeding laced treats to my rabbits, where it earned the name 'bunny crack'.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this one. Same texture as the Wild Garlic but a much sharper taste. Almost spicy in a peppery way, which makes sense I guess as fenugreek is used in curries.

This one did better with other strong tastes alongside, but was very good on hot toast alongside a glass of wine.

I really wanted to try the camembert because that's the cheese I've found hardest to make at home. My semi-hard and cream cheeses come out well but my camembert attempts fail pretty spectacularly.

If anyone has tried it I'd love to hear about it.
